I’m not a hippie, nor do I eat granola (very often).  But I do want to do what’s best for my child whenever I can and to treat the earth as nicely as possible.

I was a mom-to-be on bed rest for 3 ½ long months with lots of time on my hands and a laptop at my finger tips when I started researching cloth diapers.  The choices where vast, the differences seemed subtle, and I had no idea where to begin, so I did what any other mom in my situation would do and caught up on Grey’s Anatomy instead.  When my son came, I watched the stack of dirty disposables pile up in the corner of his room and started to get carpal tunnel from applying so much Desitin.  It was at the end of that second week that I bought my first set of cloth diapers and I was off and running.

I started Diaporium because I was someone who wanted to cloth diaper but didn’t know where to turn for advice.  All I wanted to do was see the diapers, touch them to feel the difference, and try them on my child to determine which worked best, but there was not a store anywhere in my area where I could do that.  While I am starting out online before opening a store to build some momentum, I will be offering in-home demonstrations and keeping a booth at local Farmers Markets in hopes that I can provide other moms with the hands-on experience I was looking for.  Seeing is believing and I hope to make a believer out of you!
